‘Individual Carbon Trackers’ and ‘Soulbound Tokens’ Were Both Revealed Within the Last 24 Hours
Not creepy at all.
Not creepy at all.
In the last 24-hours, it was revealed by Alibaba Group president J. Michael Evans that they are working on an individual carbon footprint tracker.
This was said while on stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos. You know, the place all the really important people flew into on private jets to talk to one another.
We’re developing, through technology, an ability for consumers to measure their own carbon footprint […] That’s where they’re traveling, how they are traveling, what are they eating, what are they consuming on the platform.
This is a nice, new-age, woke, way of saying SOCIAL CREDIT SYSTEM.
Think I am wrong? Think again. He goes on to say:
What does that mean? Where they are traveling. How they are traveling. What are they eating. What they are consuming on the platform.
And if that wasn’t enough black-mirror creepiness for one day, Ethereum’s co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently co-wrote a paper titled‘ Decentralized Society: Finding Web3’s Soul’. In which it introduces ‘soulbound tokens’.
This, just like the individual carbon trackers, is all for your benefit.
Vitalik and co say that these soulbound tokens would effectively act like extended resumes, and then go on to suggest that they are really interested in privacy, cos you know, reasons:
We initially assume publicity despite our deep interest in privacy because it is technically simpler to validate as a proof-of-concept, even if limited by the subset of tokens people are willing to publicly share. Later in the paper, we introduce the concept of “programmable privacy” for richer use cases.
Translation: we are saying to the public that we are really interested in privacy, HINT we’re not, and so we’ll allow really smart and motivated individuals to program privacy into their soul-token but we know that 80% of people won’t even be able to figure out how to do this, that's if we even decide to offer that as a choice because remember the WEF said you’ll have no privacy by 2030, but you’ll be happy.
It sounds creepy because it is. And it’s coming.
There is a reason this is all coming out at once. They are pushing society into this place, and they are not hiding it. Are you seeing it yet? How much more do you need to see and hear before you realize the future might not be as bright as you once thought?
Tell me what you think about your coming dystopian future, where you’ll be tracked, traced, tagged, watched, monitored, and have society react positively or negatively to your algorithmically decided positive or negative actions, or in-actions 24/7.
